What people are Saying

It's the best online fishing log I've ever seen. I'm using it and I love it.

Google has images of it during a low-water period, so I zoomed in and marked up all the humps, drop-offs and rockpiles, then transferred them to my Lowrance.

Mystery Tackle Box December 2012 - Go Finesse!

By Clint C. on Dec 13, 2012

Well we got our December tackle from Mystery Tackle Box and I must say this is my favorite month yet! Don't get me wrong, all of the boxes have been amazing, but this one was catered to my favorite style of fishing. Finesse! Oh, and also an awesome jerk bait =0) Let's get down to what was in the box. I didn't take individual pictures this time because honestly I was feeling lazy. But if you want a bigger better view of the box click here. 1 pack of 3 Z-Man FattyZ's - I listed this first because Z-Man is definitely becoming my favorite soft plastics for finesse applications. I love this worm and many of their others as w...

Wild Bill's Hot Rods

By Clint C. on Nov 24, 2012

Winter is almost here and for many people that means it's time to pack away the fishing gear and hibernate. For others its time to pull out the winter clothes, bundle up and tough it out on icy cold days at the lake. Wild Bill's Hot Rods will make your fishing a little more bearable in with winter. What is it? Wild Bill's Hot Rods are a wrap that goes around the handle of your fishing rod. The wrap is heated and stays active for about 6 hours once activated. This pretty much eliminates the use of at least one glove, for me, both. How it performed Excellent! These things are great. Personally I can't stand wearing gloves while fishing. It just doesn't feel right to me. Also, my hands don't work well due to my ...

Sunline Finesse FC Review

By Clint C. on Oct 14, 2012

At ICAST 2012 Sunline introduced their new Finesse FC fishing line. As many of you know I fish finesse applications 90% of the time, and already being a huge fan of their Sniper FC line I knew this new line was going to be in my arsenal for the end of 2012 and the start of 2013. Sunline sent me a spool of 7lb line to test and here's what I thought. Equipment tested on The equipment I used to test the line on was a Pflueger Patriarch 9530 (my favorite spinning reel ever) and a St. Croix LTB. MF 7' "Tube" Rod (my favorite spinning rod). I tested with a shaky head, drop shot, mojo rig and weightless senko. In every application I LOVED this line! Line Memory & Line Twist The biggest struggle with finesse fishi...

Mystery Tackle Box - September Edition

By Clint C. on Sep 15, 2012

It's no secret fisherman love buying every lure they can get their hands on. There is also no doubt that it can get very expensive. It can be hard to pick and choose what lures you want to spend your hard earned money on. For this reason we as fisherman tend to buy what has worked for us in the past, or something a friend said is the "magic lure". It's time to break that mold, and Mystery Tackle Box helps with that. What is mystery tackle box? It's a monthly Christmas gift! At least that's what it seems like to me. Actually it's a monthly tackle membership club. Here's what they say on their website. Mystery Tackle Box is a monthly subscription service tha...

Possible Wisconsin State Record Largemouth Bass Released

By Clint C. on Aug 27, 2012

Gabriella Esperson caught and released what may have been a new Wisconsin state record largemouth bass. The fish measured 25.75 inches long, 20.06 inches in girth and weighed 11.05 pounds (on a non certfied scale). The previous record, or current record we should say, is 11.03 pounds. Gabriella quickly released the fish back in the water at the undisclosed location near Edgerton, WI. "I knew this was an old fish and I had to let it go, whether it was a record or not," Gabriella said. "By releasing the fish it allows it to reproduce and continually grow, and hopefully others will do the same down the road.". Read more at: http...
